More new homes continue coming to Navasota this year, according to community development director for the city, Guadalupe Diosdado.
“For the year, we are at 33 new homes permitted. For comparison, the first year we broke 100 was in 2018, and we were at 31 at this time of year. 58 in 2019, and 35 last year. So, we are right on track, not sure we will hit 100, just because the lots are building so quickly,” said Diosdado. “They are actually out of lots, and are waiting for this next phase of Pecan Lakes to open up for them.”
He said that over 900 inspections have been performed this year as well. And, beyond even the homes, some new businesses have been looking to come here, outside of the Chicken Express mentioned early this year.
“We have a new Health Point Clinic applied for right now, next to Baylor Scott & White out on the loop. We also have a new Ford Dealership, that has been submitted, and will be next to the existing facility. The last is a welding supply store on Spur 515. All of these have been either permitted, are in the process of being permitted, or are very early on in the stages. But, they have all been submitted and are official, so a lot of exciting stuff going on,” Diosdado said.
He mentioned in his update that Pecan Lakes Phase three has been applied for, as well as a new subdivision that is to have 103 total lots.
