Navasota student arrested for threat against high school

November 29, 2018 by Willy1550

A Navasota High School student was arrested for making a terrorist threat this morning against the school.

Early this morning, Navasota Police received a tip about the student from a fifth party, who said that he was going to show up and that “this is going to be a bad day,” then arrested him before leaving his home. Emily Gainey, the city’s communications coordinator, told us that the teen was charged with a Class A misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to one year in a county jail and a $4,000 fine.

17 year old Joseph Greenmun admitted to authorities that he made the threat. Upon investigating, it was revealed he was the only person involved. He was taken to the Grimes County Jail where he was booked and the investigation is still ongoing at this time.

We will update you on the story as we get more information.
