A Navasota teen was taken into custody after an altercation on Monday.
Authorities said the incident happened at Navasota High School, involving a 16 year old who assaulted two city police officers on campus. Navasota PD sent additional officers to provide assistance, alongside authorities from the county.
The situation was contained and there is no threat to anyone on campus.
The two officers assaulted were taken as a precaution to the hospital and released later. The teen was taken to the hospital as a precaution as well, according to Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt.
No one was seriously injured.
The teen will be charged with two counts of Assault on a Peace officer.
Due to the teen being a juvenile, their identity will not be released.
