Navasota water safe to drink, no boiling required after E. Coli found in sample

November 23, 2021 by Andre Perrard

Water is safe to drink in Navasota, after E. Coli was found in the water last Friday.

The City of Navasota says that sample was taken from a raw water well prior to disinfection. The water is treated with chlorine at the water treatment facility to kill any bacteria.

That water well has been isolated until it can be resampled, and disinfected.

The city says the water in Navasota, however, is safe to drink, and does not need to be boiled.

For any questions, contact the city at 936-825-6475.
