A Navasota woman has been jailed after hitting a pedestrian on Washington Avenue on Saturday night.

NPD says that happened in the 1400 block of East Washington around 8:30 pm, where they found a man severely injured in the roadway. Witnesses said he was crossing the road when a car hit him, and did not stop tp render aid.

The victim was taken by helicopter to CHI in Bryan in unknown condition.
