Washington Avenue is in yet another contest to try and win the City of Navasota money.
The street has once again been nominated in the “Independent we Stand” America’s Main Street national contest. Washington Avenue joins over 30 streets participating in the contest, which goes on for the next three months, with winners announced December 20th.
If they win, the City of Navasota would receive $25,000, which they say would go toward the streetscapes around City Hall.
