Years of stray animals running around Grimes County has finally been addressed with the opening of the new Grimes County Animal Rescue.
Founder Kristen Carrell says she started the project way back as an FFA member while a student at Anderson-Shiro.
Their facility has been awaiting power hookups the last couple months, but she says that is squared away, and they are opening the shelter up in about a week!
That open house is, again, set for April 2nd. More information can be found on the Grimes County Animal Rescue Facebook page.
