The state’s largest not-for-profit health system will have a new CEO to start the new year.
The board at Baylor Scott and White health has approved president Pete McCanna taking over January 1st, when current CEO Jim Hinton retires.
Hinton hired McCanna as president four years ago, shortly after Hinton became CEO.
According to Hinton’s biography, Baylor Scott and White’s operation includes 47,000 employees and 7,500 affiliated physicians at 50 hospitals and the Scott and White health plan.
