Not only did reporting crime in the County of Grimes just get a whole lot easier, but the sheriff’s chief deputy says you can now do it right out of your pocket, thanks to an application called P3 Tips.
Chief Deputy Todd Green says you can download the ap on your smart phone or tablet, or report at the web address p3tips.com/tipform. and, he adds, this new technology comes with some distinct advantages.
If you actually witness a crime occurring, Green tells Navasota News, you now can upload photos or videos to the software, and it’s also easier to be anonymous, because you’ll choose a unique user-name when downloading the free software from either the Google Play or Apple Store. And, he adds, this leap in local crime prevention technology is thanks to the County of Grimes itself.
Grimes County Crimestoppers approached Commissioners Court last year and requested the software funding, which the County approved.
Again, the ap’s called “P3 tips” and it’s available to download free to either your android or Apple devices. or, the Crimestopper telephone lines will continue to be manned 24/7 if you’d rather, at 936-873-2000.
