It’s not only Brazos County seeing significant population increases. State representative Kyle Kacal of College Station has learned about the growth in the new portions of his district.
One of the prime examples, he says, is here in Grimes County.
“South in Plantersville, I think we have two new subdivisions coming in, new homes being built. I talked with the Anderson-Shiro CISD Superintendent [Scott Beane] the other day…he grew another 50-80 students, just since the start of the school year. They are even looking at a new bond,” said Kacal on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs.
He also mentioned Washington County…
“The communities do not want them to grow at the rate they are growing…but, people want out of Houston. hey want out of Harris County, and know how wonderful it is to live here in the Brazos Valley,” Kacal said.
He says the growth is also coming to Robertson and Madison counties.
