The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office has promoted it’s newest investigator.
The office says that Deputy William Sorsby will assume the position of Investigator, and join Lt. James Ellis’ team in the Criminal Investigations Division.
Sorsby joined the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office in 2012 as a jailer. He eventually attended and graduated from the TEEX Police Academy in 2014, where he was then promoted to patrol deputy.
The press release from Sheriff Don Sowell said that Investigator Sorsby has “excelled in his performance, and exceeded expectations of superiors.” He added that Sorsby has “proven himself to be an asset to the agency, and will continue his success in his new division.”
