One unfortunate Lexington driver’s new-year was cut very short just outside of Navasota the morning of the second day of 2015, when the 18-wheeler he was driving early last Friday, tangled with a pick-up truck.
Department of public safety’s Jimmy Morgan tells Navasota News that while Jones was sent to Scott and White with minor injuries, Mayfield was fatally injured.
The investigation continues, Trooper Morgan reports, as investigators attempt to piece together just why Mayfeild’s westbound 18-wheeler crossed into the eastbound lanes.
