NHS Educational Booster

January 20, 2018 by Willy1550

Thanks to a couple of options currently available, it looks like Navasota High School students will soon be able to get more bang for their educational buck.  NISD Superintendent Dr. Stu Musick says it hinges on getting designated a Collegiate High School.

Navasota High School students already have the option of taking up to 30 hours of dual credit courses, Musick explains, but achieving a designation as a Collegiate High School would significantly enhance the educational options currently available to them.

In fact, Musick says students could graduate high school with an collegiate associates degree.

Musick cautions Navasota News, however, that achieving this kind of return will require serious commitment on the part of the students, so it’s not going to be for all Navasota High School students.

But Musick contends that with 99 percent of last year’s Navasota High School graduates accepted to either institutes of higher education or the military, it most probably will be for a lot of them.
