Nine new COVID-19 cases in two days pushes Grimes County to 63 total

Two new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, plus another seven new cases on Friday, have ramped up the Grimes County total to 63.

According to the press release, the 57th patient is a female in her 50s, hospitalization and exposure unknown, who resides in the 77356 zip code. The 58th patient is a female in her 30s, hospitalization and exposure unknown, who resides int he 77868 zip code, within the Navasota City Limits.

Patients 59 through 63 are all male offenders at the Pack Unit, who are currently not hospitalized.

Grimes County has a total of 50 active cases, 12 reported recoveries and still one death, as of Friday, May 15th.

No further information was released. County officials urge citizen’s to continue following social distancing guidelines and avoid large gatherings.
