NISD sees improvement in STAAR scores

July 16, 2018 by Andre Perrard

STAAR test scores for Navasota ISD are in and there is some very good news. The district saw the gap between them and the state average close a bit. Superintendent Dr. Stu Musik says the district is happy with what they see.

The district saw improvements in all math categories and some in different grade levels for sciences. But, while they are happy with the numbers, Dr. Musik says there is still much room for improvement.

While there is no additional financial reward to the district for improving, there is no penalty because they did not digress. Dr. Musik says the district is moving in the right direction, and he will do whatever is necessary to get them where he wants them to be – the cream of the crop.

If you would like to see your child’s STAAR scores, just go to txparentportal.emetric.net and enter your child’s access code, which can be found at the top of their report cards.
