The Navasota Independent School District has drawn first blood in its reconstitution of John C Webb Elementary, by replacing principal Bill Murry with intermediate’s current principal Todd Nesloney, and now by naming Amy B Weatherwax the district’s newest principal.
And the NISD’s Ronnie Gonzalez tells Navasota News, that’s not the only change. At it’s board’s Early April Workshop, for example, the district decided to transform Navasota Intermediate into a new elementary school.
Gonzalez explains the principal switch by saying the district wants to give Weatherwax a chance to build her own team at the soon-to-be renamed intermediate, while Nesloney takes his current staff with him to Webb.
And with the exception of Murry, he says, all of Webb’s teachers and staff have been assured they still have a job with the district, but have not been told as of yet, just where or in what capacity.
