No injuries reported after fire engulfs two story home between Bedias and Huntsville

February 7, 2022 by Willy1550

A two house near Bedias was totally destroyed on Saturday night after a large fire.

Neighbors first called the fire into dispatch around 7 pm in the 500 block of Hopewell Road, which is between Bedias and Huntsville in west Walker County.

The fire was reportedly spreading toward a wooded area when authorities arrived, and firefighters from Crabb Prairie, alongside units from Madison and Grimes Counties, worked to battle the blaze.

Crews were on scene for five hours before the fire was deemed safe. They returned early Sunday to extinguish any remaining hot spots.

No injuries were reported, as the investigation into the fire is ongoing.
