Active cases remain the same in the weekly COVID-19 update, but an addition of 127 cases to the running total brings Grimes County to over 1,200 cases since last March.
According to the weekly update released Monday afternoon, the county has seen a total of 1,219 cases since March 2020, an addition of 127 from last weeks number.
Active cases remain the exact same as last week, with 108 cases currently active in Grimes County. Of those, 54 active cases are in Navasota, which is an increase of four from last week.
On the recovery side, twenty-eight new ones were added, bringing the total recovered since last March to 1,088, with 526 of those in the city limits of Navasota.
For the second consecutive week, no new deaths were added to the total, which stands at 27 since the pandemic began.
In all, 21,216 test have been performed in the county.
On the Texas Department of Criminal Justice side, both units in Grimes County are still on their COVID-19 dashboard for having active cases. At the Pack Unit, they have 13 active cases, up four from last week, with one of them an offender, and twelve employees.
At the Luther Unit, they see an increase of two cases, having 16 total active. Eleven of those are employees, and five of them offenders.
