DPS Trooper Jimmy Morgan reports a 2007 Mazda passenger car with three passengers slowing to make a left-turn into a private driveway when it was struck in the rear by a truck-tractor semi-trailer following it. 26-year-old Montiqua Mosley was transported by ambulance to the CHI St. Joseph Health Center in Bryan, while the surviving six-year-old was lifeflighted to McLane Scott and White in Temple. The five-year-old and two-year-old were pronounced dead at the scene by JP Chris Acord.
Where the three children were located in the vehicle at the time of the collision, Morgan tells Navasota News, is still unknown.
Morgan says the investigation required Highway 90 to remain closed most of the morning.
The driver of the Kenworth, 30-year-old Mickael Compton of Elkland, Missouri, was uninjured. No citations have been issued at this time and no more information is available as the investigation continues.
