Among the many exciting productions the Navasota Theatre Alliance has planned for next year, are a couple the NTA’s publicity chair says could be the perfect size to put under the tree.
Besides “Too Soon for Daisies,” “Southern-Fried Murder,” and “The Psychic,” Carol Herrington says what she’s really excited about is they are able to release the names of the two Summer Youth Camps, which will make excellent Christmas Presents!
The first one, Herrington says, the Rising Star Youth Camp for the young ones, will bring a world-debut to the Sunny Furman next June 8th and 9th. It is “The Lion King; the Kids’ Version.” This will be the first year it will be made available to put on in live production, and we have it in our area!!!!
The other one, she continues, is going to be “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; the Musical,” coming to Navasota’s Sunny Furman on July 27th and 28th.
And Herrington tells Navasota News both Summer Youth Camps will be directed by the legendary Earlene Rainey who’ll teach your kids much more than just their lines and stage direction. They also learn all the behind-the-scenes magic and learn how to work as a team. Besides, Herrington adds, it’ll get them off the couch, off their devices and gets their creative juices flowing. And it’s a day camp,, which means they’ll still come home at night.
