Old School Volunteering

October 6, 2014 by Willy1550

Calling Grimes County’s most experienced citizens. The RSVP organization, also known as Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, wants to help you help your community, while helping yourself.

RSVP’s Becky Brown tells Navasota News; the organization spans 18 counties and specifically recruits people 55 and older, then matches volunteers with local community organizations.

It doesn’t matter how often you want to volunteer, Brown continues, be it from once a year or a few hours a day. RSVP will find a fit for you.

So if you or a friend would like to mentor a child, feed the hungry, even help prevent Medicare fraud or just help out around town or find yourself in need of a helping hand, call 936-856-8647 or go online to rsvpvolunteer.com.
