A shooting in Brenham this weekend killed one woman, and landed a man in jail.
Brenham police say that incident happened just after midnight Sunday in the 2300 block of Becker Drive in Brenham. No details have been made available of what exactly transpired, but 44 year old Cynthia Lynette Jackson of Brenham died from her injuries at the scene.
Authorities arrested 30 year old Jason Saxton of Brenham in connection, and charged him with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He remains in the Washington County jail on bonds totaling $500,000.
