An altercation on Doris Street in Navasota resulted in two injuries, with one man being shot.
According to the press release on Thursday, Navasota PD responded to a call of shots fired around 1:15 am Wednesday. Witnesses reported that 2 or 3 male subjects approached the victims, who were outside working on a car.
Shots were fired in the ensuing altercation. The gunshot victim was hit in the chest, and flown to a College Station hospital for treatment. Last report says the man is in stable condition. There was no word on the other injured man.
Navasota PD is continuing their investigation, and are not releasing any further details at this time.
