One person airlifted to hospital after Grimes County crash

February 14, 2020 by Willy1550

A crash in Grimes County between an 18-wheeler and pickup truck sent one driver to the hospital Friday morning.

Authorities say the incident happened around 6 am. A semi truck, driving east on FM 149, and the pickup driver, heading southbound on FM 2562, collided after the pickup failed to yield the right of way. That driver was given a citation.

The semi-truck driver was taken to a Bryan hospital. The pickup driver had to be flown to a nearby trauma facility. No word on his status.

Responding to the scene was Texas DPS, the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, and the Richards Fire Department.
