The holidays might be over, but results are in from the annual Blue Santa project by Navasota Police, and it was yet another great year gifting toys to kids around Grimes County.
“We got donations from citizen’s and businesses the first few months. We worked with Navasota ISD elementary schools, and we hit a goal of 75 kids. We did shopping for them. The day of December 23rd, we had about 90 kids show up. So, we were able to gets gifts to everyone…it was another big success, once again,” said assistant police chief Mike Mize at a January city council meeting.
He said they plan to have the event once again in 2022.
