Two California men were arrested for causing severe damage at Somerville Elementary school.
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office says they and the Somerville Fire Department responded to a possible burglary and fire at the school on June 28th. Upon arrival, officers said there was smoke and a plastic smell coming from inside the school, with several broken windows.
A joint investigation with Somerville Police led to them identifying the men through tattoos seen on surveillance footage.
The two were arrested, and identified as 34 year old Tyler John Lonneman and 26 year old Chance Loran James Downard, both from California. They face charges of Criminal Mischief, Burglary, and Arson.
The report also says the two caused around $30,000 in damages to TV’s, smart boards, and left a microwave on top of a burning stove.
