Patron growth continues for Navasota Public Library

August 13, 2021 by Willy1550

The Navasota Public Library is on a roll and seeing tons of new, regular patrons.

Tiffany Salmon from the library gave an update on their busy summer at Monday’s city council meeting.

“For June, we had 1,200 circulations. We had 700 in March, and we thought that was amazing. So, 1,200 was outstanding. July, we had 700, but that was with us closing for a week and a half, so we would have been closer to those June numbers,” said Salmon.

“We also had 46 new library cards issued in June, 25 in July, and we did another 10 today. We are steadily getting people to the area, they are hearing about the library, so we are really excited to see that growing.”

As a reminder, the library is hosting their annual monthly farmers market Saturday August 14th, from 9 am until 1 pm in the parking lot.

For more information or questions, contact the library at 936-825-6744.
