November 8, 2021 by Andre Perrard

A pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital Saturday night after being hit by a vehicle on FM 1774 near Todd Mission.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Officer says that happened around 7:30 pm in the 2100 block of the roadway.

The pedestrian, identified as 24 year old Timothy Geiger of New Caney, was walking along the roadway when he was struck by a 2009 Kia SUV travelling north. The driver of the Kia was identified as 62 year old Bruce Boyer of Anderson.

DPS initial investigation says the pedestrian failed to yield the right of way to the vehicle.

No charges have been filed at this time.
