Picking Away At Pesty Pig Problems

August 28, 2015 by Willy1550

As feral hogs are an ongoing problem around the state, the extension office is going to help you rid your land of the filthy swine with a free workshop, next week.

The Extension’s Dusty Tiddle tells Navasota News, the program will also have several speakers attending to help you get an edge on your pig problem.

Because of the pests’ habitual roaming Tiddle believes, feral hogs will continue to be a problem unless property owners start working together on a larger scale. And through education he adds, you can help get that ball rolling.

The feral hog management workshop is from 8:30 through 4:30 next Friday at the Brazos County Expo Complex in Bryan. And to sweeten the pot the program will also count as 5 continuing education units toward your TDA Private Applicators License.

But to take part you’ll need to be register by today 08/28. The workshop is free, and to register, call 979-823-0129.
