Plane carrying 21 people crashes near Brookshire with only one injury reported

October 19, 2021 by Andre Perrard

A charter plane carrying 21 people crashed in Waller County on Tuesday morning.

That happened around 10:45 am, according to the Waller County Sheriff’s Office, as the plane was taking off from Houston Executive Airport near Brookshire. The plane reportedly never gained any altitude during takeoff, and ran across the road, where it fell apart and burst into flames.

Of the 21 people aboard the MD-87 aircraft, which included 3 crew members, only one was reported to be injured.

No serious injuries were reported. The FAA and NTSB will be performing their investigations, and no further information has been released.
