Plantersville boy returns home, receives Junior Deputy badge from Grimes County Sheriff’s Office

October 11, 2021 by Andre Perrard

Christopher Ramirez was found alive Saturday morning.

The missing 3 year old Plantersville boy has returned home officially.

After being checked at local hospitals, 3 year old Christopher Ramirez returned to his home on Deer Park Lane Monday afternoon.

Sowell said he was found Saturday morning by a citizen in the 7700 block of FM 1486, about 5 miles from where he originally disappeared in the Foxfire Subdivision.

All in all, Christopher was found healthy, and was smiling in the arms of his mother, according to Sowell. He was checked by paramedics throuhgout the weekend, and drank lots of water.

Sowell, in an update to media on Monday, gave little Christopher a special reward for his bravery.

“It is my honor to pin him with a Junior Deputy badge, and a patch. I am sure he will get a bunch more,” said Sowell.

Christopher was missing for almost 72 hours. Assisting in the search were around 48 different groups and agencies of law enforcement. His mother thanked media and law enforcement as well Monday, telling all parents that this can happen to anyone.

No further information was released on exactly how Christopher ended up there. Sheriff Sowell stated, however, the case is not closed, as an investigation is ongoing.
