On June 23rd around 8pm, Navasota Police Officers were dispatched to Highway 6 for a reckless driver that was traveling at a high rate of speed and swerving in between the lanes. The driver was heading south towards Navasota city limits. An officer observed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver, Joseph Kwiatkowski, (47) out of Plantersville, TX displayed several signs of intoxication, and an investigation was conducted. After the investigation, Mr. Kwiatkowski was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. An arrest history on Mr. Kwiatkowski showed that he has been arrested 6 previous times for DWI, which enhanced this DWI charge to a felony offense.
