A Navasota woman was killed yesterday when electrocuted during a car accident.
Texas DPS says aropund 11:15 am, the car with two passengers was travelling northbound on County Road 304 near Stoneham, when it hydroplaned, and struck a utility pole.
After striking the pole, the driver put the car in reverse, and while backing up, had their arm out the window, and made contact with an electric line.
The driver, 50 year old Urania Sweet of Navasota, died from her injuries. The passenger was not injured. The vehicle then caught fire after both were removed, and was burned beyond recognition.
No one else was reported injured.
