Preliminary Texas A&M Fall Enrollment Numbers Given to the Board of Regents

Preliminary fall enrollment information for Texas A&M University was provided at this week’s Board of Regents meeting.

Chancellor John Sharp reported 10,000 new first time students, 2,400 additional transfers, and 3,800 additional graduate and professional students.

The chancellor also brought up continuing growth in the college of engineering, which is supposed to have 25,000 students by the year 2025. And he reported SAT scores of incoming engineering students was up 40 points over last year.

Official numbers will be released later this month.
