A Navasota woman was arrested twice in 24 hours for public intoxication this weekend.
The College Station police arrest reports say the first incident happened Friday afternoon around 5 pm. Police received a call for a woman stumbling around the EZ Travel Motel pool on Texas Avenue, and approached her. The woman turned and walked away, and when eventually stopped, she was irate.
Officers noted slurred speech with alcohol on her breath, inconsistencies with her story, and her insistence that the arriving officers were not real policemen. She was arrested for public intoxication.
The next day, Saturday afternoon, one officer with CSPD spotted the woman walking along South Texas Avenue. The officer saw the woman stumbling, and then cross the road where there was no crosswalk present, forcing cars to stop. The woman was contacted at the Manor Inn, where the officer noted rapid, loud and slurred speech. The woman denied consuming any alcohol or narcotics.
She was ultimately arrested again, and identified as 45 year old Felicia Drummond of Navasota. She was charged with two counts of Public Intoxication, and was released after posting $600 bond total for the two days.
It is Drummonds 6th time in jail this year, and the 18th time since 2008.
