Rain can’t wash away Christmas Spirit, as big turnout shows for Navasota’s annual Christmas Parade

December 15, 2022 by Willy1550

Navasota’s Home for the Holiday’s event last weekend could not be stopped by rain and severe weather.

Mayor Bert Miller thanked the public for coming out, and showing a sense of togetherness.

“It was from above that it stopped raining during the parade and tree lighting, and the crowd was unbelievable. The community really came out…it really gives me chills,” said Miller. ” Thank you to city staff…all you guys did to make that happen, and the community at-large. I never would have imagined, with that weather, there would have been that many to just show up and spectate, but also be in the parade.”

They did not mention exact attendance numbers, but Miller and council thanked the public again for participating.
