Another kind of football season ended badly recently for the Navasota Rattler Girls Soccer Team, as our girls in blue were taken out in area completion by Bay City High.
But despite the loss, Coach Jennifer Briggs says she is still very proud of her girls.
Briggs tells Navasota News it was one of the best games she’s seen her girls play, and that the squad has improved constantly throughout the season.
And what’s even more impressive, she adds, is who they went up against this year, as the Rattler Girls went toe to toe against 5A and 6A teams from across the state.
And with a new season and a new team ahead for the squad, Briggs says she will continue to focus her girls on the fundamentals, as most freshman who come to her haven’t polished their skills…yet.
A few of her girls will be getting more practice over the summer in preparation for their return, she grins, adding if your daughter has an interest in playing the game, she needs to get in some league play so she will have a better grasp for next season.
