Students in and around the Navasota Independent School District are invited to join with others across the nation this week, sharing their beliefs and convictions at the 9th annual Fields of Faith.
Although he doesn’t see any big spiritual movement at our high school, Navasota Athletic Trainer Dustin McClure tells Navasota News, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ annual programs have slowly gained a lot of local notice over the years.
This year, McClure says, the event will start in the high school cafeteria for a short, free meal before everybody walks to rattler stadium where church leaders or guest speakers will take the lead.
During the event, he continues, students will be encouraged to step forward and make personal commitments. Whether that’s to follow Christ more closely, to read the gospel more or just to be a better person is completely up to them.
But whatever they choose to do, McClure says the group will provide the kids with whatever support they need to follow through.
There is no sign-up necessary to take part. Just show up at the Navasota High School Cafeteria at 6 Wednesday Evening October 14th. For more, call 936-870-8683.
