If you like to show up to Rattler home games early and tailgate, you’ve no doubt noticed, there’s a change this year in the number of times you’ll be able to do it.
High School Principal Derek Bowman says the school organizations put a lot of effort into formal tailgate fundraisers and are going with the less strenuous choice, now that the concession stand has brought hot meals back to the menu.
Bowman tells Navasota News the various school groups are then supported by you having a burger or two, or five from the concession stand the only differences from the tailgate; is the location and the grub.
But, if you really have a need for tailgates, the principal adds, he always encourages parents and rattler fans alike to come on down, show some spirit and have your own tailgate outside before cheering for our boys in blue as they take-it-to-‘em out on the gridiron. The next official tailgate is being hosted by the Navasota Diamonettes for the Homecoming game against Houston Stafford September 16th.
