More Navasota High School students are on their way to college. NISD College and Career Readiness Councilor Michelle Vacante reports more than half of this year’s graduating class, have already gotten the thumbs-up from places of higher education in and around Texas.
And, Vacante tells Navasota News, there are more opportunities than just college. In the past, she says, the schools have worked with local businesses to give your kids a look at life in the workforce, some found out that the industrial side isn’t for them while others found their calling.
And even when students don’t know what they want to do after high school, Vacanta continues, her office tries to get students into local community colleges to get them a head-start regardless of where they wind up next.
And if you have questions about how you can help your particular brood figure that out, Vacante hopes you’ll give her a call, at 936-825-4247.
