Relieving Relocated Refugees

September 9, 2017 by Willy1550

Thankfully, the Brazos Valley escaped the full fury of Hurricane Harvey.  But there are lots of refugees from other, more devastated areas who find themselves here through no fault of their own.  And the United Way of the Brazos Valley wants to help.

President Alison Prince says that’s why the UEBV has just opened a special disaster support fund.

And because the needs of these refugees are as diverse as the historic rainfall totals of this epic event, Prince says the United Way of the Brazos Valley is counting on monetary contributions.  And there’s a couple of ways you can help. You can visit uwbv.org, or text bvharvey to 91999.

Prince stresses that whatever you can afford, will be greatly appreciated.  No administrative fees will be deducted and anything left-over will go to the United Way of Houston for its long-range disaster relief.
