A call for a man swerving erratically on Highway 30 near the Grimes County line lands him in jail on DWI charges.
The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office says the reporting party saw the driver heading toward Grimes County swerving erratically, hitting curbs, and accelerating rapidly after slowing down.
Eventually, the officer watched the car swerve all the way into the oncoming lane of traffic, before jerking back over. The car was stopped just beyond the line in Grimes County, where 32 year old Edwin Murillo-Castro said he was heading to a friend’s apartment in Bryan.
He failed field sobriety tests, blowing a 0.18 on the breathalyzer. Murillo-Castro was taken to jail on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated with BAC greater than 0.15. He remains in jail on an Immigration Hold.
