State Representative Kyle Kacal of College Station announced that he is not seeking re-election.
This follows his announcement on September 6th, that he would seek a seventh term representing House District 12, which includes Grimes, Madison, Washington, and Walker counties.
Kacal posted a statement on his Facebook page that says in part that it’s time to return home to tend to his family and to his business. Combined with the earlier retirement announcement of John Raney of Bryan, that means Brazos County will have two new state representatives after next year’s elections.
