Residents Remain Unconvinced

December 10, 2015 by Willy1550

Scores of Grimes County landowners left Texas Central Partners’ Navasota open house last Saturday with about as much concern for its pending bullet train project as they had going in.

Seventh-generation Texan and Bedias resident Dan Rogers tells Navasota News the proposed high speed rail line will run through his land that hoped to use for his retirement.

But despite the almost universal disdain of the project by Saturday’s attendees, TCP’s Mark Edgar seemed to be convinced the naysayers can eventually be won over.

But Grimes County Judge Ben Leman said he was already convinced the project would fail, and saw nothing Saturday to change his mind.

In fact, Leman’s convinced his group will eventually be able to stop the project completely, suggesting concerned residents visit www.Texansagainsthsr.com for details.
