The retired Marine One helicopter used by President George H. W. Bush arrived at the Bush Library and Museum yesterday.
Media, spectators and several university officials were on hand to view the historic marine one helicopter arriving at its new home in the Marine One 41-41 Locomotive Pavilion.
Andrew Card was the secretary of transportation for the former president and is now the CEO of the George and Barbara Bush Foundation.
The library’s new director, Dawn Hammatt, says the helicopter helps tell the story of the Bush’s travels during their time in the White House.
The new pavilion, which will house the Marine One helicopter and the Union Pacific 4141 Locomotive, opens to the public this June.
