There will be a considerable amount of road closures for the 41st president’s state funeral procession coming through Navasota on Thursday.
There will be no vehicular traffic on N. Railroad Street from E. Dickson to Stoneham Street and S. Railroad Street from Washington to Johnson Street from 6 am to 5 pm. These areas will be standing room only.
The railroad crossings at Holland Street, McAlpine Street, and Lee Street will be closed from 6 am until 5 pm.
The crossings at Dixon Street, Washington Avenue, Blackshear Street, Business 6, Courtney Road and Johnson Street will continue with regular operations and close during the procession.
The procession will take approximately 2.5 hours from Spring to College Station. Be prepared to take detours when traveling through Navasota. A picture of the road and railroad closures is located below.
