Roans Prairie couple offering $10,000 reward for recovery of items stolen off property

A few residents of Grimes County are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to recovery of equipment stolen from their property.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office says that happened on Saturday on Highway 30, west of Roans Prairie. When the owners arrived home that evening, they found several items stolen. The thief’s cut the lock on the residential gate to gain access.

In all, they managed to get away with a 2012 Dodge Flatbed Dually with toolbox and fuel cell, a flatbed car hauler, a John Deere Diesel Z Trac, air compressor, pressure washer, push mower, and thousands of dollars in tools and hunting gear. They also attempted stealing a four wheeler, but that was recovered on the property.

The case is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Lieutenant James Ellis at 936-873-6421. Tips can remains anonymous.
