Roof Collapse Sends Two To Hospital

April 21, 2015 by Willy1550

Two Shiro men were sent to St. Joseph’s regional hospital in Bryan April 15th afternoon after an attempted dismantling went wrong.

Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell, tells Navasota News, the two elderly gentlemen Bobby Fenner and Wayne Paulhill, were taking apart an abandoned house south of Anderson, but after the roof collapsed, Fenner found himself trapped.

Sowell reports, Paulhill who made the 9-1-1 call actually received his injuries while trying to save Fenner. And as both were being sent to St. Joes, he was happy to say, both were talking.

Were in not for Paulhill going with Fenner, he continues, this could have ended differently.

Sowell reiterates, both Fenner and Paulhill did not receive life threatening injuries adding that, things like this can happen when you deal with older homes.
