August 27, 2024 by Willy1550

According to a Grimes County Facebook post, “The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office deputies and investigators are actively investigating a fatality caused by fire off of Mossy Knoll Drive in Plantersville.

On Friday, August 23, 2024, sometime after 7:00 p.m., a 911 call was received by the victim saying her RV was on fire. A good Samaritan attempted to make entry prior to the arrival of first responders but the RV was fully engulfed. The victim was later found deceased inside the RV.

An abandoned structure close to the RV was also partially damaged by the fire.
Investigators have requested the assistance of Montgomery County Fire Marshall’s Office.

No further information can be released as it is pending an investigation.”
