Sorry kids, but the school bells begin tolls for you in a week from Monday, so the NISD’s Transportation Division’s making a dry run on its newly-retooled routes this week, to work out all the kinks.
Bus Dispatcher Sarah England tells Navasota News, because of an increase in the number of students at Navasota High School, the district will be adding three new routes to the list this year.
Recently, England reports, several parents have expressed confusion about the changes going on with the schools’ dividing lines, and she is asking all of them to hold off on any calls until Friday (07/15).
In addition to the new routes will also come new drivers, England continues, yet another reason for the dry run, so the drivers can get accustomed to what needs to become second nature.
The dry run takes place this Thursday, she says, adding that the department wants all its routes settled and ready to go by Saturday. That will give anyone with any route confusion a full week before school starts to call the district at 936-825-4200 and make sure that everything’s ready to go on Monday, the 24th.
